About the event

Individuals and organisations from across central Florida are coming together for United Way of Central Florida's DAY OF CARING to participate in volunteer projects that make an impact in Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties.

Hundreds of participants roll up their sleeves to help roll up their sleeves to help out their local nonprofits and EMERGE Lakeland is joining in is joining in!

EMERGE Volunteers are heading to help the Lakeland based nonprofit, VISTE, during this amazing day.

Volunteers In Service to The Elderly (VISTE) Is a community based, nonprofit organiser, nonprofit organisation serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, and Fort Mead. The elderly are the fastest growing age group in the USA. People are living longer and are often fine in longer and are often financially unprepared to do so. Visty provide provides the elderly with resources that help our greatest generation remain safe and independent in their own homes. Transportation, monthly care boxes, hot meals, and wheelchair ramps being built at their homes are just a few of the programs carried out by VISTE volunteers that help preserve dignity and independence.

The EMERGE Volunteers will help by Unloading groceries that will go that will go to the elderly, assist in the office, and a few people to deliver meals a few people to deliver meals to clients.
