EMERGE Mentorship Program 2027
Sometimes the next step starts with the right person in your corner.
The EMERGE Mentorship Program is a six-month experience connecting young professionals with established business and community leaders in Lakeland for meaningful, one-on-one mentorship.

It’s designed for people who are ready to grow their career, business or leadership but may not have someone in their circle to turn to for guidance.

Where do you go to find a mentor?

That’s the point. EMERGE is creating the introduction. What you do with it is up to you.

How It Works

The inaugural program will pair 10 young professionals with 10 local leaders and run from January through June 2027. This program is entirely free and open to EMERGE members only.

You’ll meet your mentor at the January kickoff, then take the lead in building the relationship with at least one one-on-one meeting each month.
Along the way, EMERGE will provide monthly prompts and assignments around topics like personal branding, leadership, networking, career growth and professional development. Mentees may also have the opportunity to complete a DISC assessment.

Who Should Apply?

Young professionals who are ready for their next step and could benefit from having the right person in their corner.

Whether you’re growing a business, stepping into leadership, navigating a career change or looking for more direction, you don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to be ready to show up, ask questions and make the most of the opportunity.

Application Process

Applications for the inaugural EMERGE Mentorship Program open form October 1, 2026 and close October 24, 2026.

The 2027 cohort will be limited to 10 mentees to allow for thoughtful mentor matches based on each applicant’s goals, experience and areas of growth.

Program Commitment

Participants will be matched with a mentor at the January kickoff and are expected to meet with their mentor at least once each month throughout the six-month program.
