This presents a unique occasion for us to spread happiness among Lakeland's beloved elderly residents in long-term care homes.

This initiative is particularly meaningful as it acknowledges the unique difficulties that seniors in long-term care face, especially during the holiday period when feelings of loneliness can be particularly strong. Due to limited mobility, they often feel disconnected from the relationships they once treasured. Every call, visit, or message they receive becomes a treasured moment that brightens their lives. Through crafting simple, compassionate homemade cards, we can make a lasting impact and remind them that they are valued and not forgotten.

Join the EMERGE Volunteer Committee with your family for a relaxed coffee or cocoa gathering on the upper floor of COhatch Downtown. This is where you can unleash your creativity by designing your very own Christmas cards, adding lively colors and decorations. Or you can express genuine kindness through heartfelt words on pre-made cards. By creating these beautiful holiday cards, you'll be bringing joy and warmth to the seniors living in long-term care homes right within our community.
